If you are part of the The Provo Church, we are going camping and would love to have you join us! We’ll be camping on August 2-3 at Diamond Campground and THERE WILL BE NO CHURCH SERVICE ON SUNDAY IN PROVO (August 3) because we’ll be at the campground enjoying great food, fun activities and some baptisms!The cost is $5 for individuals and $10 for families and dogs are allowed. Directions: Take Hwy 6 up Spanish Fork Canyon and look for brown info signs for Diamond Campground take a left off Hwy 6 and follow signs to group sites 2 and 3.
Sites: The church reserved two group sites, will provide charcoal and starter fluid, and we will be sharing the two pavilions which are equipped with campfire pits and grills.
Details: Everyone needs to bring all of your own supplies. Tents, campers, sleeping bags, water, food, sun screen, umbrella’s, bug spray, etc…
Tentative Schedule:
- Arrive: anytime Saturday after 2 p.m. and before 9 p.m.
- Supper: Coals will be hot n’ ready at approx 7 p.m. Saturday if you would like to use the pavilion grills for grill your own. Share what you can and we will have some extra hotdogs and water available
- Campfire: We will sing some songs and share testimonies after supper Saturday night at the larger pavilion at site 3.
- Activities: Hiking and a cool stream flows right near our sites for tubing and rafts. Also a large parking lot for scooters, bikes, skateboards, remote toys, etc.
- Church & Baptisms: Sunday at 9 a.m. we will sing some songs at site 3 and share some quiet time thoughts (bring a verse and/or thought to share) and baptize a few people immediately following (talk to Mac if you want to be baptized)
- Depart: Clean up and be gone by 1 p.m. Sunday
