“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)
Can you believe it — summer is over and the fall is already upon us?! This time of year always brings with it new and exciting opportunities to labor hard for Jesus (as well as Broncos football games)!
As you know, we are on world mission at our church! We want to win the world — one life at a time, one world in our lifetime. In 2015 alone, we have already recorded the names of 81 people who have gotten saved and turned their lives over to Jesus Christ and 40 people who have been baptized through the ministry of The Rock. God is at work!
Not only that, but the Draper location has grown by 26 percent since opening the doors to our new building last November — amazing! We trusted God together, and many have given sacrificially to our ROOTS 2.0 Capital Campaign. We believed that a new building would give us stability, legitimacy and opportunity like never before — and it has.
In fact, just recently, I had the opportunity to lead two different people to Christ right in my living room. Both of these people had been attending the Draper location and both wanted to meet with me. They basically told me the same thing: “Something is missing in my life, and I think it has to do with Jesus.” I gladly shared with them about the amazing truth of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. In tears, they repented and turned their lives over to Jesus.
What a blessing to be in Utah and have the opportunities we have! I’m more excited than ever about the future of The Rock and our mission to Win the Lost, Build the Believer and Send the Sanctified. Without question, your generous, sacrificial gifts and service have made this possible — I can’t thank you enough. Lives are different because you have been fully engaged. People are visiting church, hearing the gospel, getting saved and baptized because so many of you have given so much, so faithfully. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Have a wonderful week serving the Lord!
Fully engaged,
Bill
