I decided to keep my thoughts short and sweet. I simply wanted to share with you the truth that God has been encouraging me with these past few months. You can find it in one of my favorite Bible passages — Psalm 139. Much of the Psalm is dedicated to the fact that we cannot escape from God’s presence. In fact, verse seven says just that: “I can NEVER escape from Your Spirit! I can NEVER get away from your presence!”
The verse that has been really exciting for me, however, is found just a few lines before in Psalm 139:5. It says this, “You (God) go before me and follow me. You place Your hand of blessing on my head.” What a wonderful truth. Do you have something coming up in the future that is making you anxious? God says, “Don’t worry about that because I have gone before you.” Do you have something in the past that troubles you or causes you to question? God says “I knew that would happen, but don’t worry, I will work it out for your good.”
The end of verse five says that “God places His hand of blessing on our head.” As Christians, we must never forget that God has GOOD PLANS for us despite our circumstances. He has seen our future, and He is Lord of our past. “Rockers”, take comfort this week in the presence of God. He is close. He is in control. He is good. I love you.
Walking with you,
Steele
