In the last two weeks, we have covered the power of forgiveness in that once you become a Christian you are made brand new, and given a new identity. Last week, we heard about the promise of forgiveness (once you are forgiven by Jesus, you don’t need to continually ask for forgiveness over and over again). Jesus forgave you once for all sin.
Many of you are in a place where you want to be given a new identity and want to know that all your sins have been forgiven. You want to have power to forgive others and receive forgiveness even when you can’t forgive yourself. But you don't know where to start. You may not even know why you need to be forgiven for sin (or what that looks like and means).
Tonight, we are going to talk about the fundamentals of forgiveness — the Pardon and the Protection! Tonight we are going to talk about Jesus Christ.
