“Those who are wise will take all this to heart; they will see in our history the faithful love of the Lord.” — Psalm 107:43
Recently, I was deeply moved by this verse. It comes at the end of an amazing Psalm (which highlights the on-going rescue of the Lord).
During the prayer, we are introduced to some who were: “lost and hungry”, “imprisoned in chains of misery”, “suffering because of their own sin” or who were in “the deepest seas.” In each scenario, they cried out for help and were rescued by God.
The end of the Psalm calls the reader to “see in our history the faithful love of the Lord.” This prompted me to look at my own history, and recall the faithful love of the Lord in my life.
Faithful Love
As a result of doing this, there was an incredible prayer time between Jesus and me. As I recalled the many stages of my life, both good and bad, I was able to clearly see the faithful love of the Lord in my history. Time and time again, the Lord has rescued me. Time and time again, He has proven His faithful love for me.
What a privilege to belong to God.
Christian, read Psalm 107 this week and recall your own history. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, I am confident that you, too, will see God’s faithful love in your life.
Looking back and looking ahead with you,
