Important COVID Update
Attention Rock Church Family,
With the goal of keeping you informed, we wanted to notify you that yesterday (March 25), we became aware of six people who have tested positive for COVID-19. They were in attendance at church on Saturday, March 20. At the time of that church service, these individuals were not showing any symptoms of infection. They all wore masks during the service, when they were unable to social distance.
At different times during this week, these people developed symptoms and tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals have communicated with those they were in close contact with.
Online Services Only For One Weekend
The pastors have discussed this situation at length, and have made the decision to cancel live services and offer online services only this Saturday and Sunday, March 27 & 28. You can watch online at trc.life/live, Facebook live or The Rock Church app.
We think this is the right decision. We also believe that the overall risk is very low (for any of us to have been exposed) because of the protocols we have put in place – facemasks, social distancing and aggressive cleaning standards. However, we prefer to be overly cautious and want to make sure we will be open for Easter weekend.
By offering only online services this weekend, anyone who may have been exposed last weekend, will have a 14-day window before coming back to celebrate Easter (live) with us on April 3 & 4.
As always, we would encourage you to stay home if you have symptoms that may be suggestive of COVID-19. If you have any questions, please reach out to any of your pastors.
With you,
Bill Young on behalf of The Rock Church Pastors
