Since The Rock is not a typical church, it’s only natural that we don’t have a typical church youth group. We have nothing against a traditional youth pastor, but we realize that a youth pastor is not the one raising the youth or the one who knows them best. So our youth group is led by some of the best youth leaders around — otherwise known as parents — because every parent of every youth is incredibly important!

We’re not interested in having the biggest youth group in the city, nor are we interested in just fun and games. We’re serious — serious about raising the bar within our teen community and developing hard-working, Gospel-sharing, Bible-believing, servant-minded young men and women. And all this is accomplished with the parents right alongside their teens!

In other words, we’re passionate about parents discipling their kids and raising up an army of warriors to reach our world with the love of Jesus Christ. We take seriously God’s admonition in Scripture...

“These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates” (Deuteronomy 6:6-9).
