Hezekiah

Hezekiah was one of the greatest kings in the history of Israel. He was also one of the most significant reformers of the nation. Demonstrating an extraordinary amount of courage and strength, he boldly led the country through great trials. Even with his unprecedented rule and all of his accomplishments, however, he could not save the nation. Only one King could bring salvation to the nation and turn their hearts to God — The Good King Jesus.

From Series: "Jesus is Better SLC"

The stories of the Old Testament can sometimes be unfamiliar to us as Christians. It says in Romans 15:4, "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." But, like this verse in Romans states, they were written to instruct us. Join us as we spend 12 weeks studying through a variety of Old Testament characters. Studying their lives in greater detail will both instruct and challenge us. But, it doesn't stop there. These Old Testament characters don't simply instruct and encourage us. They also point (like a big, old laser beam) to Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate example of what it means to live a life of faith. All of these heroes of the Old Testament are ultimately a version of or a picture of Jesus. Join us as Jesus is Better!
