In my experience as a pastor, I've interacted with a lot of Christians with “low self esteem”. In fact, it sometimes seems like there is no practical difference between Christian behavior and that of unbelievers. Christians have the same worries, problems, troubles and, sadly, many times have the same solutions. We have the same divorce rates, suicide rates, addictions, trends toward depression, and adultery. Often, there is no distinction! Where is the power? Where is the abundant life? Where is the joy? How can Christians live differently? I believe the answer is in discovering our true identity — that we are forgiven!
