Comforted (1 Thessalonians 3:6-13)

I & II Thessalonians: Standing Firm (SLC)

Last week we saw the Apostle Paul open his heart as he shared his great concern for this struggling Thessalonian church. Paul knew they were suffering and being tempted and wrote them to encourage and strengthen their faith. Today we will discover that Paul is greatly relieved and comforted by the report he had received from Timothy regarding the strong faith of the Thessalonians. Paul is greatly comforted and shares some words loving comfort of his own -- by praying for this young church. In this lesson we will see two examples of how we should comfort others with the comfort we ourselves have received. Ultimately we must ask our selves the question: “Would Paul be comforted by our faith?” Would Jesus?
