Jehoshaphat

Today we will continue our "Jesus Is Better" Series with an Old Testament character you might not be too familiar with. His name is Jehoshaphat and he became a King of Judah when he was 35 years old. He was actually a really good king, and applied great faith while facing insurmountable odds. While we will see from our story that Jehoshaphat is an amazing example of faith, Jesus is even better!

From Series: "Jesus is Better Draper"

The stories of the Old Testament can sometimes be unfamiliar to us as Christians. It says in Romans 15:4, "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." But, like this verse in Romans states, they were written to instruct us. Join us as we spend 12 weeks studying through a variety of Old Testament characters. Studying their lives in greater detail will both instruct and challenge us. But, it doesn't stop there. These Old Testament characters don't simply instruct and encourage us. They also point (like a big, old laser beam) to Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate example of what it means to live a life of faith. All of these heroes of the Old Testament are ultimately a version of or a picture of Jesus. Join us as Jesus is Better!
