Judge Much? (Romans 14:1-12)

The overarching lesson of Romans 14 is that harmonious relationships in the body of Christ are critical to God. Unity in the church is more important than agreement on debatable, less significant matters in the Christian life. Disputable matters should not disrupt Christian oneness. In this teaching we’ll learn how to navigate the nonessential points of our faith while embracing unity in the essentials.

From Series: "Romans"

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-1

We absolutely live in an age when everyone is right in their own eyes. Most people don’t even consider that their decisions could be wrong or their actions harmful. At the same time, everybody is on their own path, trying to figure out how to navigate life. Also, endless resources and influences are waiting to tell them exactly what they want to hear.

Generally considered by many to be “the greatest letter ever written,” Apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans teaches Christians foundational and unchanging truth found in the Word of God. The book of Romans shares the truth about God, His righteousness, and godly living. From start to finish, this letter gives us the right path to take — one that allows us to live a life by faith in a world spinning out of control.
