These verses are probably the most personal of any in Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians. He opened his heart and shared his great concern for this church. Remember, Paul wrote this letter to a church that was suffering for their faith and wondering if it was all worth it. Paul wanted to encourage and strengthen them in their faith by reminding them that Jesus is coming again to take them away from their suffering. He wanted them to “be ready” when Jesus returns. We’ll take a look at three ways in which Paul was concerned for the Thessalonians. More importantly, we'll look in the mirror and ask ourselves, "How are we doing?"
