Josiah

Josiah followed the Lord from a young age and continued to all the days of his life; he led the nation of Judah in godly reforms. It is important to remember that Josiah didn't let his evil dad and grandfather keep him from becoming a godly man. Josiah was relentless in his removal of idolatry from Israel. These lessons (plus others) await us in our study of his life. Also, Josiah ultimately points us to Christ (because Jesus is better).

From Series: "Jesus is Better SLC"

The stories of the Old Testament can sometimes be unfamiliar to us as Christians. It says in Romans 15:4, "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." But, like this verse in Romans states, they were written to instruct us. Join us as we spend 12 weeks studying through a variety of Old Testament characters. Studying their lives in greater detail will both instruct and challenge us. But, it doesn't stop there. These Old Testament characters don't simply instruct and encourage us. They also point (like a big, old laser beam) to Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate example of what it means to live a life of faith. All of these heroes of the Old Testament are ultimately a version of or a picture of Jesus. Join us as Jesus is Better!
