Becoming a Christian gets you forgiven. Understanding your assurance helps you enjoy it! Do you know that you are going to heaven? The Bible says that your salvation is protected. In 1 John 5:13 we read, “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” Assurance is defined as a “guarantee, security, pledge bond, obligation.” The results of assurance are: peace, joy, freedom, confidence and hope. Unfortunately, there are many Christians who don’t feel “secure” in their salvation. They are confused and often feel guilty. Today, we will learn three truths about salvation that will help you enjoy life as God has intended.
