In this message, we come to Paul’s final theological argument against those who distorted the gospel and misled the Galatians. It is not only his final argument, it is his best! (He saves his best for last.) He comes with a creative and an unexpected approach. Paul has been arguing for the superiority of grace and the gospel of grace. He was opposing the Judaizers who had said that grace was fine, but that you had to keep the law to make your salvation complete. Paul had been arguing that they were adding to the gospel, and as a result, were nullifying it. Now, on this final argument, Paul speaks to the heart of the Judaizer’s pride with an analogy which involves Abraham. Join us as we take a look at five wise spiritual choices we need to make as we glean from Paul’s analogy.
From Series: "The Book of Galatians: Salt Lake City"
The Book of Galatians is one of the Apostle Paul’s most impassioned and eloquent letters. It warns Christians about the dangers of both legalism and lawlessness, calling Believers to live in the freedom of a gospel-shaped life. Throughout this book we will encounter the promises, warnings, and gospel declarations that will help us find true liberty in our identity as God’s adopted children. Join us at The Rock Church for a ten-part series at all of our locations. We'll discover the freedom found in the statement, "salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, because of Christ alone”.
