Ezekiel was living his life for God in a safe way. One, however, God changed all that and turned him into a prophet. God called Ezekiel to some amazing things and had him endure pretty crazy hardships for His glory. Ezekiel's life was for the Jewish people to see. Join us, as we take a look at Ezekiel's call, his response, and how his message points to a coming savior — Jesus Christ.
The stories of the Old Testament can sometimes be unfamiliar to us as Christians. It says in Romans 15:4, "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." But, like this verse in Romans states, they were written to instruct us. Join us as we spend 12 weeks studying through a variety of Old Testament characters. Studying their lives in greater detail will both instruct and challenge us. But, it doesn't stop there. These Old Testament characters don't simply instruct and encourage us. They also point (like a big, old laser beam) to Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate example of what it means to live a life of faith. All of these heroes of the Old Testament are ultimately a version of or a picture of Jesus. Join us as Jesus is Better!
