    To all of our awesome parents who have children in our SLC Kid’s Rock program, and to all of our awesome teachers who serve: please join us THIS Saturday, August 16 at 6 p.m. at the Salt Lake building. We will introduce our new coordinators and talk about the important truths your kids will be learning this year — and how you can help them grow in the Gospel.     I was recently on vacation with my family in Iowa (see picture of butter cow above), and was reminded about how thankful I am for your faithfulness and generosity in your giving to The Rock Church! God is using your gifts and sacrifices to make a real difference in the lives of many people and in the ministry of our church.

    Closer, a word from the pastor

    Psalm 145:18 “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”

    As a dad, I am continually amazed by how much my little boy keeps growing and learning. He can bust out all of Michael Jackson’s dance moves, he can tell me about every slide at the park, and he ALWAYS remembers what I promised him we would do from the day before. Read more →

    August Prayer List

  5. Waking Up by

    Typically, the best day of the week for me is Sunday. Not only do I have the day off from my day job, but I get to spend eight hours with my one year old son, while my wife is at work. The best part of the day is when my son wakes up from his morning nap. I open his bedroom door and he is standing there with a huge smile on his face waiting for me to rush over and pick him up, give him a kiss and play with him. Read more →
