  1. Jesus Holds Me

Jesus Holds Me – a word from Pastor Steve McInroy from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "We can easily feel defeated and helpless when we’re sick. God knows this and holds us close, reminding us, “don’t be afraid..."

Without a doubt, I am convinced that Jesus holds me. This truth permeates the Bible (from Genesis to Revelation). Here’s a snippet of verses:

    • “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10
    • “Though they stumble, they never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.” — Psalm 37:24
    • “He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.” — Colossians 1:17

I love, love, love these verses!

  2. The Goodness of God

The Goodness of God – a word by Pastor Steve McInroy from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "I felt that no matter how disgusted and dejected I was, I needed to show the goodness of the Lord to others — even if I didn’t feel like it."

“But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.” — 1 Peter 2:9-10 (NLT)

I’ve often shared these verses with people in an effort to help show the “Goodness of God.” Especially when they’ve made a mistake or experienced some sort of mishap and are feeling down. And quite frankly, for many of us, that happens frequently. Without a doubt, this truth is for all of us.

  3. Waiting

Waiting – a word by Pastor Steve McInroy from The Rock Church in Draper UT. "Waiting for the Lord must be awfully important. I say this because it seems like almost everything in life is enveloped in waiting for Him."

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” — Psalm 27:14

Waiting for the Lord must be awfully important. I say this because it seems like almost everything in life is enveloped in waiting for Him. Everyone waits. We wait not only for birth and death, but even on a daily basis, we wait. Think about it. Today you waited; tomorrow you will wait again. In other words, all of life’s ups and downs, all encouragements (and discouragements) happen, as we wait for the Lord.

  4. Secure in Christ!

Secure in Christ – a word by Pastor Steve McInroy from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "This same security will always be available for my children and grandchildren and it doesn’t depend on me. Woo Hoo — secure in Christ!"

Being secure (or trying to find a sense of security) can sometimes seem impossible. This is true, even for our church. Over the years, we’ve had numerous trailers and items stolen from our property. If you can believe it, we’ve even had the church truck itself (and the catalytic converter) taken twice!

  5. Creating Shareable Infographics: Tips and Tools

Infographics have become a cornerstone of effective digital communication, allowing brands and individuals to convey complex information in a visually appealing and easily digestible format. With the rise of social media and content marketing, creating shareable infographics has never been more critical. This article will explore key tips for designing compelling infographics and recommend tools to help you get started.
    Why Infographics Matter

Infographics are an effective way to present data and information because they combine visuals with text, making content more engaging. Studies show that people remember 80% of what they see and do compared to just 20% of what they read. Infographics can simplify complicated information, making it easier for viewers to understand and retain it. Moreover, shareable infographics can increase brand awareness and drive traffic to your website, as they are more likely to be shared across social media platforms.
    Tips for Creating Shareable Infographics
    1. Define Your Goal

Before diving into the design process, clearly outline the objective of your infographic. Are you trying to inform, educate, or persuade your audience? Understanding your goal will guide your content creation and design choices, ensuring your infographic remains focused and relevant.
    2. Know Your Audience

Tailor your infographic to resonate with your target audience. Consider their interests, demographics, and preferences. This will help you choose the right data, language, and visuals that will engage and inform your audience effectively.
    3. Use High-Quality Data

Data is the backbone of any infographic. Ensure the statistics and information you use are accurate, credible, and relevant. Cite your sources to build trust with your audience and enhance the credibility of your infographic. Always look for data from reputable sources, such as academic studies, industry reports, or government publications.
    4. Tell a Story

Infographics should not just present data but also tell a story. Organize the information in a logical flow, guiding the viewer through the content. A compelling narrative can help the audience understand the significance of the data and make the infographic more memorable. Use headings, subheadings, and sections to break down complex information into digestible parts.
    5. Keep It Simple

Simplicity is key when designing infographics. Avoid cluttering your design with too much information or overly complex visuals. Use white space effectively to enhance readability and focus attention on key points. Aim for a balance between text and visuals to create a clean, professional look.
    6. Choose the Right Colors and Fonts

Color and typography play a significant role in the effectiveness of your infographic. Use a limited color palette that aligns with your brand identity and evokes the right emotions. Choose legible fonts and maintain consistency in font usage throughout the infographic. Ensure that the text size is appropriate for easy reading.
    7. Include Engaging Visuals

Use charts, graphs, icons, and images to complement your data and enhance understanding. Visual elements should serve a purpose, helping to clarify and illustrate the information presented. Make sure your visuals are high-quality and relevant to the content.
    8. Optimize for Sharing

To ensure your infographic is shareable, consider the following:

Size and Format: Create infographics in a vertical format, as they are more visually appealing and easier to scroll through on social media. Save them in widely supported formats, such as PNG or JPEG, for easy sharing.

Call to Action: Include a clear call to action (CTA) that encourages viewers to share the infographic, visit your website, or engage with your brand in other ways.

Watermark Your Brand: Adding your logo or website URL to the infographic can help increase brand awareness when it is shared.

  6. Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is Here

I am sobered by what we are facing at this time. In the Bible, we see difficulties people faced over and over again. This is not new to God. Many times, those difficult circumstances brought people to their knees in repentance.

John the Baptist paved the way for Jesus and His message. Both men proclaimed the need for the people of Israel to repent. I believe that is something our world needs to hear now. It’s certainly something that you and I must continually do — live a life of repentance while clinging to our Savior.

United In Christ A Word by Pastor Steve McInroy of the Rock Church Utah

When closing an email or letter to a brother or sister in the Lord, I will oftentimes use the statement, “United in Christ, Mac”. Sometimes, when I am in a hurry, I will simply put, “United, Mac”. This statement has a significant and deep meaning to me that reaches far beyond any other closing I can think of.
