Hello, parents! I am happy to share another special video with you and your kiddos. This is a devotional about the power of our tongues and the importance of saying kind words.
What a valuable time this is to engage with our kids about the power our words have. I hope you and your children enjoy this devotional.
Certainly, you and I are in a unique time. Psalm 62 says that at all times you should pour out your heart to God. He is the place where you should run to for your safety. You need to trust in Him.
There is
something very special about being able to pour out your heart to God. It connects
your heart and mind to the Lord. You can verbalize what you are feeling before
Him. This can help remind you to trust Him.
“But all who listen to me will live in peace untroubled by fear of harm.” — Proverbs 1:33
There is a way to
live that leads to harm, fear and restlessness. Most of the time this is a
result of listening to ourselves, lies or negative influences. When we find
ourselves with a pit in our stomachs and a tinge of fear rattling our emotions,
we should ask ourselves, “Who am I listening to?”
Hi parents! I am excited to share this special video with you and your children. This is the story of how God met Elijah. It wasn’t in a fire, strong wind or earthquake. God met him in a still, small voice.
We understand being cooped up in the house can be a little difficult for all of us. Hopefully, this video will help you use some of this time by giving you an opportunity to talk with your kids about God. Remember, Jesus loves you — He loves you SO much! And He is close to you.
“We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
“All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised.” — Hebrews 11:39 (NLT)
I love this verse. As many of you know, it comes from the book of
Hebrews — a book that boasts the great Hall of Faith heroes. Recently, as I was
reading Hebrews, this verse spoke to me.
“Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.” — 2 Timothy 2:22b
“And you know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children. We pleaded with you, encouraged you, and urged you to live your lives in a way that God would consider worthy. For he called you to share in his Kingdom and glory.” — 1 Thessalonians 2:11-12
“No, the Lord’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love.” — Psalm 147:11(NLT)
Process, power, plans, capital, vision, connections…. these are the types of words we tend to associate with success — especially in business, of course if you want to success in business you should also get tools like paystubs for your staff so you can manage everything easily. And no matter what type of business you have, it’s important to accept credit card payments from your customers. With customers increasingly wanting to make cashless payments, getting the cheapest card machine has never been more important.
A passion of my heart is The Rock Music. If I’m honest, I often feel like we should be further ahead or more successful than we are. I tend to think we should somehow have more reach for the Gospel with our music ministry than it seems that we do. I can get insecure fairly quickly when I see the success of others around me. Perhaps I don’t have the right process, power or plan?
