This is the perfect time of year to invite a friend, co-worker, neighbor or family member to church! We’d love to have them join us during our Christmas Series called God With Us. It says in Matthew 1:23, “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him ‘Immanuel’ — which means, God with us.” During this Christmas season, we will reflect on the birth, humanity, divinity, and saving power of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Danger Ahead (2 Peter 2:13-22)
The New Testament often speaks of a Christian’s “walk” being symbolic of their decisions and the lifestyle they choose as Believers. As we continue studying the book of 2 Peter, he warns us against the dangers of false teachers who are intent on derailing our spiritual walk. In this message, we will glean from Peter’s concern for the Church and observe four warning signs that will help us avoid false teachers and stay on the path of righteousness.

The Book of 1 Peter was written to a church that was facing serious trials and turmoil (not unlike our world today). The hardships they were confronted with had them doubting God’s grace and made them fearful of their future. Peter reminded them that this world would never truly be their home (or ours) because they were citizens of heaven. We must put our ultimate hope in Christ as we live in the tension of being in the world, but not of the world. This ten-week series will help us successfully navigate the messed up society we’re in and experience lives of joy and hope as we learn to follow God’s Way!
