This is the perfect time of year to invite a friend, co-worker, neighbor or family member to church! We’d love to have them join us during our Christmas Series called God With Us. It says in Matthew 1:23, “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him ‘Immanuel’ — which means, God with us.” During this Christmas season, we will reflect on the birth, humanity, divinity, and saving power of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

How We Got The Bible

The best-selling book in history remains one of the most controversial. Revered by Christians as God’s Holy Word, the Bible spans centuries of history, contains a variety of literary styles, and culminates in the person of Jesus Christ. But, how do we know the Bible is true? Isn’t it just a collection of stories and myths? Even if it contains some history, is there any way we can trust it completely? Where did we get it? Who wrote it? Is it credible? If so, how should we respond to it? In this message, we’ll answer this all-important question, "How did we get the Bible?"

From Series: "The Bible on Trial (Draper)"

Over the years, no book has come under more criticism and scrutiny than the Bible. People have looked for ways to disprove and dismiss it. Even today, the accusations and claims made against it are staggering. With the endless discoveries being made in the worlds of academia and science alone (not to mention archeological discoveries), is there any reason to believe the Word of God? In a court of law, would the claims of the Bible withstand the scrutiny of its opponents? Are there witnesses and evidence to defend the Scriptures? Join us at The Rock Church (starting June 30), as we cross examine several of the claims and accusations made against the Bible and its trustworthiness. Hear the arguments, listen to the testimonies, and then you be the judge. What's your verdict?
