This is the perfect time of year to invite a friend, co-worker, neighbor or family member to church! We’d love to have them join us during our Christmas Series called God With Us. It says in Matthew 1:23, “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him ‘Immanuel’ — which means, God with us.” During this Christmas season, we will reflect on the birth, humanity, divinity, and saving power of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

The Biblical Deacon
Having just given specific character-based qualifications for men who were to lead the church as elders (pastors/overseers), Paul now lays out the qualifications for another critical church office: The Biblical deacon. In this message we will answer three questions about Biblical deacons: What is a Biblical deacon? What are the requirements for qualified deacons? And, what do deacons DO?

In this first part of our study of 1Timothy, Paul urges Timothy to stay in Ephesus to deal with false teachers. Many of their false teachings are lies we can still believe today. Paul reminds Timothy of the timely and encouraging truths he (and we) need to stay focused on.
