God With Us Christmas Series at The Rock Church in Draper Utah

This is the perfect time of year to invite a friend, co-worker, neighbor or family member to church! We’d love to have them join us during our Christmas Series called God With Us. It says in Matthew 1:23, “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him ‘Immanuel’ — which means, God with us.” During this Christmas season, we will reflect on the birth, humanity, divinity, and saving power of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Same-Sex Attraction

Most of us know (and love) someone who is in a committed, loving, homosexual relationship. Not just that, but many of these relationships can appear to be more caring, loving and devoted than some of the Christian marriages we have known — ones that have ended in divorce. Some of the kindest, most accepting people you know are gay; they make you feel loved and accepted. Perhaps you have same-sex attraction and also have a desire to know Jesus and the God of the Bible? Given the weight of this important cultural issue, we must explore what the Bible says about same-sex attraction, what specific arguments exist regarding same-sex attraction and what then, should be our response?

From Series: "Truth, Love & Culture"

Where do you stand on issues like: Gender, Homosexuality, Abortion, the Environment and Politics? More importantly, what does God say? If there was ever a time for Christians to understand and be able to communicate God’s Truth about controversial and polarizing issues, it’s now. More than ever before, Believers must develop convictions based on Biblical Truth. But, it doesn’t stop there. It’s equally important that you’re able (and willing) to communicate these convictions with the love and respect that reflects God’s own heart. Truth, Love & Culture will help you learn how to respond with love — even in the face of controversy. In the process, you’ll discover the power of bringing TLC, not hate, to the core issues at the heart of society today.
