God With Us Christmas Series at The Rock Church in Draper Utah

This is the perfect time of year to invite a friend, co-worker, neighbor or family member to church! We’d love to have them join us during our Christmas Series called God With Us. It says in Matthew 1:23, “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him ‘Immanuel’ — which means, God with us.” During this Christmas season, we will reflect on the birth, humanity, divinity, and saving power of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

The Temptation of Tolerance (Revelation 2:18-29)

When Jesus speaks to the churches in Revelation, He says that He wants a church that holds tightly to Truth and love. He wants a church filled with compassion and conviction — one that loves AND holds fast to His Word. Jesus’ words to the church in Thyatira remind us that though Christianity begins with tolerance, it must move to repentance and change. WE MUST LOVE JESUS THE MOST. We live in a day and age where our culture shouts at us constantly. It screams at us non-stop. So many different voices — each one telling us what they think truly matters and what they think we should focus on. It’s overwhelming. It’s confusing. Who should we listen to? We need Truth in order to navigate the world we live in and that Truth can only come from Jesus. In our world today, it’s critical that we focus on what Jesus had to say. He knows what is the ultimate best for us and shares it with us in His Word. Revelation (Chapters 2 & 3) reveals His heart for His people — instructions, warnings and promises. It’s clear what He wants us to do and what He wants us to avoid. His words are relevant and life-changing for us today.
