God With Us Christmas Series at The Rock Church in Draper Utah

This is the perfect time of year to invite a friend, co-worker, neighbor or family member to church! We’d love to have them join us during our Christmas Series called God With Us. It says in Matthew 1:23, “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him ‘Immanuel’ — which means, God with us.” During this Christmas season, we will reflect on the birth, humanity, divinity, and saving power of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Danger: Warning Signs! (2 Peter 2:13-22)

The New Testament often speaks of a Christian’s “walk” as symbolic of the decisions and lifestyle we choose as Believers. As we continue in our study of Second Peter, the apostle warns us against the dangers of false teachers who are intent on derailing our godly, spiritual walk. In this message, we’ll glean from Peter, a concern for the church and observe four warning signs that will help us avoid false teachers and stay on the path of righteousness. Part Four Second Peter — True Knowledge Danger: Warning Signs! (2 Peter 2:13-22) Pastor Bill Young August 7 & 8, 2021 Draper

In our world today, there is so much confusion about what is true. Countless voices guarantee they have the answers. Who should we listen to and believe? Second Peter was written to first-century Christians (who also faced a similar barrage of falsehood). Peter wrote to encourage the Church to live in the truth of their salvation, despite the numerous heresies around them. He warned them to be on guard against false teachers, to be established in the Word of God and to be equipped in light of Christ’s promised Second Coming.
