Astonished (Galatians 1:1-10)
Galatians offers us a simple and compelling message: Freedom comes not from rules or the lack of rules, but in a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The only true freedom is the freedom that comes from knowing Him as Savior and Lord. Those who Christ sets free are free indeed. In his letter to the Galatians Paul is astonished by the backsliders of his time and he heroically communicates the key to freedom in Christ and attacks his naysayers. We need the same courage today (as was produced in Paul by the Holy Spirit) to help us in communicating true liberty to our dying world.
