Fake Faith (John 8:31-59)
In the second half of John, Chapter 8, we see Jesus continuing his confrontation with the crowds. He tells them anyone who sins is a slave to sin and explains how true freedom is only found in him. The religious crowd does not receive this well and starts to verbally attack Jesus. He then tells them that anyone who keeps his word will never see death. Such comfort from our Lord! The crowd tries to kill Jesus and he leaves them. Amazing truths both about Jesus and for our lives are found in this section.
