Prone To Wander (Jonah 2:1-10)

Jonah: West

Is the Book of Jonah really about the adventures of a man inside of a fish? Is the point of this story really about how a man could survive for three days inside of a sea animal? In Jonah, Chapter Two, we get to hear the prayer of Jonah from the belly of this creature. As we unpack Jonah's prayer, we see what a great a reminder it is for the Christian — the importance of our dependency to draw near to the Lord in prayer, in good times and in bad.

From Series: "Jonah: West"

In this classic, Old Testament story, we are introduced to Jonah as a reluctant prophet. God called him to go preach to an evil city, but he refused and ran in the opposite direction. Ultimately, God’s purposes prevailed through a storm and a big fish and Jonah got back on course! God not only saved Jonah, He also had amazing mercy on the entire city of Nineveh. Join us for this powerful and relevant study through the Book of Jonah!
