The Word Leads to Freedom

As people, we long for lasting satisfaction and joy. We long for peace. We long for meaningful relationships and connection. We long for identity. We long for hope! However, because we largely don’t turn to the Lord and His Word, we look everywhere else and find ourselves enslaved, anxious, depressed, fearful, and sadly (many times) hopeless. But, Psalm 119:45 says,“I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought your precepts.” We can walk in FREEDOM when we know God’s Word.

From Series: "Delighting in God's Word"

What do you delight in? What brings you joy or pleasure? When was the last time you truly adored something? To delight is to be greatly pleased and Psalm 119 is full of this wonder. It is the longest chapter in the Bible and likens His Word to honey for our lips and a lamp for our feet. There is joy, freedom, and praise to be found in this psalm. This series explores why God’s Word is worthy of our delight and is written to connect us to Jesus.
