What Happens When I Die?

We need to cultivate a proper image of our heavenly home. Paul thought it was important for us to understand. He states in 1 Thessalonians 4:13, “Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep...” Of course, “falling asleep” is aneuphemism for those who have died. So, the question becomes: "What happens to us the second we die?" We most often think of "Eternal Heaven" as what the Bible calls the New Earth - a place Christians live in forever, after the resurrection. But, the fact is, the Bible talks about a place we call the “Intermediate Heaven” - the place we go to right after we die, but before the New Earth. In this message, we will look at three facts about "Intermediate Heaven".

From Series: "Heaven"

Someone once said, "You can be so heavenly minded, you’re no earthly good." If that is true, why talk about heaven at all? Who cares anyway? The truth is, nothing could be more relevant than our diligent study of heaven. Why do I say that? Because the Bible contains close to 500 references to heaven!  It’s important. Our study will answers questions like: What is heaven like? Why does it matter? What happens the second after I die? What about the Judgment and Resurrection? What about "The New Earth"? No matter where you find yourself in your spiritual journey, a clear Biblical understanding of the truths about heaven can benefit you and help prepare you for an eternity with God in Paradise. Join us for four weeks of HEAVEN!
