Joseph

Perhaps one of the best known and best loved Bible stories, along with that of Noah's Ark and David and Goliath, is the story of Joseph and his coat of many colors. Joseph's life story is full of many valuable lessons and applications. A prophetic aspect in the story of Joseph foreshadows the Messiah himself. There are many fascinating parallels (more than 100) between Joseph (beloved son of Jacob) and Jesus (the Son of God) who would arrive on the stage of human history centuries later. We'll look at 15 amazing similarities between Joseph and Jesus — and learn that Jesus is better!

From Series: "Jesus is Better Draper"

The stories of the Old Testament can sometimes be unfamiliar to us as Christians. It says in Romans 15:4, "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." But, like this verse in Romans states, they were written to instruct us. Join us as we spend 12 weeks studying through a variety of Old Testament characters. Studying their lives in greater detail will both instruct and challenge us. But, it doesn't stop there. These Old Testament characters don't simply instruct and encourage us. They also point (like a big, old laser beam) to Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate example of what it means to live a life of faith. All of these heroes of the Old Testament are ultimately a version of or a picture of Jesus. Join us as Jesus is Better!
