Jesus

During our "Jesus Is Better" Series, we have looked in-depth into many of the mighty (and unlikely) heroes of the Old Testament. Through these men and women's many accomplishments, victories, trials, and downfalls, we've seen that they all point us to someone better. They point us to the ultimate fulfillment of the promise that was and is to come. Let's take a look at the One to whom all these heroes have pointed us to. The greatest hero in the whole Bible. The greatest hero of the world. The God who became man — JESUS CHRIST.

From Series: "Jesus is Better SLC"

The stories of the Old Testament can sometimes be unfamiliar to us as Christians. It says in Romans 15:4, "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." But, like this verse in Romans states, they were written to instruct us. Join us as we spend 12 weeks studying through a variety of Old Testament characters. Studying their lives in greater detail will both instruct and challenge us. But, it doesn't stop there. These Old Testament characters don't simply instruct and encourage us. They also point (like a big, old laser beam) to Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate example of what it means to live a life of faith. All of these heroes of the Old Testament are ultimately a version of or a picture of Jesus. Join us as Jesus is Better!
